NEWS: UHURU SUMMONS ALL MINISTERS URGENTLY TO MAMBOSA

The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyetta on Thursday summoned all members of the cabinet urgently to Mombasa, where he is on holiday. His assistant, the Deputy President William Ruto. Who said The summons, circulated to all ministers including those on leave, came minutes after Raila Odinga, a former political nemesis come ally, landed directly from South Africa in the Coastal strip.

Seems things aren't right. All ministers have been summoned to Mombasa and the handshake seems to be at work. All those on leave have been asked to report to Mombasa today.

"Funny enough, Raila landed at Mombasa and this means something could be cooking. Some ministers could lose their jobs and that is a guarantee," he said.

According to the source, a number of Cabinet Secretaries among them Mwangi Kiunjuri (Agriculture), Charles Keter (Energy) and Rashid Achesa of Sports could lose their jobs.

It is the second time Uhuru is meeting Raila in Mombasa after the two met for closed door discussions in July that sparked tension within government.

After the July meeting, Raila dismissed claims by Mr Achesa that he was plotting for his removal from government over alleged incompetence.

"It is only the president who has powers to hire and fire ministers. I'm not the president so I don't really know what you people are talking about," he said.

State House spokesperson Kanze Dena denied claims that Uhuru was plotting for a cabinet reshuffle, days after the two leaders met in Mombasa.
