Lengendary music producer and Mavin's boss, Don Jazzy congratulated him on this. After that the next news was Davido helping Chioma, his girlfriend to secure a multi - million naira deal, they celebrated its success. Then recently, like two days ago, Davido signed an endorsement deal with a famous mobile phones producing company, Infinix Mobile. Then above all, Davido's latest flambouyant lifestyle news was that he bought a private jet for himself. Owing to that, he records the youngest Nigerian to buy a private jet. He posted the picture of the jet on Instagram.

Davido was awarded the best international act in the 2018 BET Awards that held on the 24th of June, 2018 in California, USA.  Davido made history with the award as he became the first African to climb the BET main stage to receive the award for Best International act. The nominees in this category were Tiwa Savage, Booba,Sefflon Don, Cassper Nyovest, Distruction Boyz, Dadju, Fally Ipupua and Uk artist, Stormzy.
